EN - DPF Monitor PRO –– BMW / FORD / OPEL / HONDA / VOLVO

DPF Monitor PRO is a standalone touchscreen monitor for DPF/FAP regeneration and engine parameters. Via an OBD2 BLE adapter, the device displays, among other things, soot level, filter temperatures, differential pressure, distance since the last regeneration, and the current regeneration status.

The monitor automatically connects to the vehicle after startup and does not require a phone or an app. Voice notifications inform the driver when DPF/FAP regeneration starts, finishes, or is interrupted. Profiles are available for selected Hyundai, Kia, Volkswagen, Skoda, Audi, SEAT, Peugeot, and Citroën vehicles.

DPF Monitor PRO - key features at a glance

DPF/FAP regeneration monitoring

The DPF/FAP tab displays the most important filter data; the available range depends on the profile and ECU.

Important: not all parameters are available in every vehicle. The displayed values depend on the data provided by the specific ECU. In the PSA profile, the tab name changes from DPF to FAP.

Regeneration start notification

During regeneration, the DPF/FAP button flashes alternately in the selected colour and red.

With Auto LCD enabled, the start of regeneration wakes the screen and opens the DPF/FAP tab.

For safety, the voice notification is played twice - with a 1-minute interval for both the start and the end of regeneration.

Lower risk of interrupting DPF regeneration

Helps prevent the engine from being switched off during regeneration.

MAIN screen - basic engine parameters

MAIN displays, among other things, temperatures, speed, RPM, load, voltage and the oil interval counter.

DPF Monitor for BMW DDE8

The BMW DDE8 profile supports DPF parameter monitoring in selected BMW models equipped with a compatible DDE8 ECU.

Distance since last regeneration The engine ECU in this group does not directly provide the parameter “DISTANCE SINCE LAST REGENERATION”. DPF Monitor PRO calculates it using its own algorithm based on detected regenerations. After the first complete regeneration performed with the monitor connected, the parameter is initialised and its value is displayed on the screen from that point onward.

DPF Monitor for HONDA

HONDA profiles support DPF parameter monitoring and injector correction values in compatible engine ECU versions.

Supported HONDA parameters

Depending on the installed ECU, the monitor can display: DPF soot mass, DPF temperature, differential pressure, distance and time since the last regeneration, and current regeneration status.

For profiles N15A1, N16A1, N16A2, N16A3 and N22B, DPF oil ash is also available. The N16A4 profile displays exhaust gas flow instead of oil ash.

Free Wi-Fi OTA updates

DPF Monitor PRO updates wirelessly via Wi-Fi without opening the enclosure.

OTA mode creates a Wi-Fi network and displays the installation PIN.

Updates are free and may include:

  • communication fixes,
  • new features,
  • interface changes,
  • stability improvements.

Reading and clearing DTCs

Reading and clearing standard OBD2 fault codes from the engine ECU/ECM and emissions system.

This function is not a full scanner for all modules and does not cover:

  • BCM or BSI,
  • ABS and ESP,
  • TPMS,
  • airbags,
  • transmission,
  • comfort modules.

Additional modules may be added in future updates.

Important compatibility information

The range of available parameters depends on:

  • vehicle model and model year,
  • engine code,
  • ECU version,
  • vehicle control-module software,
  • ABS or TPMS system version,
  • OBD2 BLE adapter used.

The same model may use different ECUs. Check compatibility using the vehicle’s full details, and for VAG vehicles, primarily by engine code.

Frequently asked questions

Does DPF Monitor PRO show active DPF/FAP regeneration?

Yes. It shows the regeneration status, can wake the screen and play a voice notification.

Does the monitor require a phone?

No. Once the OBD2 BLE adapter has been saved, the monitor connects automatically.

Will a standard Bluetooth ELM327 adapter work?

A compatible Bluetooth 4.0 BLE adapter is required; Bluetooth Classic may not work.

Do all parameters work in every vehicle?

No. The available data depends on the model, engine code and ECU.
